Job description:

Hello!

I am a person living with a physical handicap and require caregivers to help with day-to-day tasks in my home in Shawano, WI.

I am a full-time wheelchair user, but make no mistake, that does not mean I sit at home all day! Of course, I have your basic care needs; basic housekeeping, bathing, toileting, meal prep., medication assistance, you get the gist....

Having a driver's license is a must! As I said, we are not going to be sitting at home all summer (LOL). I supply the wheels, you supply the hands and feet, and a driver's license. Fair is fair, right ;)

My perfect caregiver match is going to be someone who is happy and positive, a motivated learner, and enjoys community events and trying new things with a pretty cool guy (me).

This is a cat-friendly home, like really friendly. She will lie on your lap, paperwork, purse, and bags, so if you're allergic, you will either need a Claritin or to sadly pass on this position.

I am enrolled in a self-directed program. What that means is that I get to pick my own caregivers and someone else gets to pay them ;) In my case, that's Lori Knapp. Don't confuse this position with an agency job; this is not that! They act as my payroll department only.
