Backup Personal Care Assistant
Pay: $16.32 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time Backup Caregiver
Location: In-Home Support Position
Personal Care Assistant Needed - Backup Support (Training Provided)
Community Horizons is assisting one of our members, Kaleb, in finding a dependable and compassionate Backup Personal Care Assistant to provide support in his home as needed. This position is ideal for someone who is caring, patient, and willing to learn. While previous caregiving experience is preferred, it is not required, as training will be provided by Kaleb's mother.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life through one-on-one support in a home environment.
Responsibilities
Duties may include:
- Assisting with all Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Supporting Hoyer lift transfers (training provided)
- Assisting with tube feedings (training provided)
- Providing personal care and daily routine support
- Offering companionship and maintaining a consistent, reliable presence
- Following established care routines and instructions provided by the family
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be dependable, patient, and respectful
- Be comfortable learning hands-on caregiving tasks
- Have reliable transportation
- Be able to work independently and follow directions
- Pass any required background screenings
- No experience is necessary; on-the-job training will be provided
Work Environment
You will be working in a supportive and welcoming home alongside Kaleb and his family. The family values kindness, communication, reliability, and teamwork. This position is best suited for someone who enjoys helping others maintain their comfort, safety, and independence.
Compensation
- $16.32 per hour
- Backup/as-needed position
- Training provided
- Meaningful and rewarding work experience
Additional Information
There is no exchange of money within the home. All payroll processing, employment paperwork, and employee payments are handled through a third-party fiscal agent to ensure reliable and professional payroll services.
