Respite Caregiver
Location: Stevens Point, WI
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time Respite Care
Are you a caring, dependable, and community-minded individual looking for a rewarding opportunity? Community Horizons is assisting a member in the Stevens Point area to provide support and companionship in a home and community setting.
Schedule
- Tuesday mornings (3-hour shift)
- Monday through Friday evenings (3-hour shifts)
- Every other weekend
- Flexible scheduling available and will be discussed during the interview process
Responsibilities
- Provide supervision and companionship in the home and community
- Assist with community outings and recreational activities
- Encourage participation in social and leisure activities
- Ensure safety and well-being at all times
- Keep the individual actively engaged in meaningful activities
- Maintain open communication with family members regarding activities and concerns
Qualifications
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable
- Enjoys working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Comfortable providing continuous supervision
- Able to support community participation and engagement
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Additional Information
No personal care duties are required for this position. The home is a non-smoking environment and has a dog.
