An SDS employer in Hudson, Wisconsin is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and dependable caregiver to provide evening support and companionship to a very sweet and humorous gentleman.
This position is primarily intended to provide companionship and supervision while his wife has some much-needed respite time. He enjoys joking, watching TV, and having someone to talk with.
Responsibilities May Include:
- Companionship and conversation
- Supervision and safety support
- Helping set up snacks or drinks
- Assistance with personal cares as needed
- Support with evening routines
- Providing a friendly and comfortable presence

- Comfortable working around dogs and cats

The individual is quadriplegic and uses a power wheelchair, Hoyer lift, and hospital bed. He communicates his needs well and is generally prepared before the caregiver arrives, so minimal hands-on care is expected during most shifts.
