We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Worker specializing in supporting children with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. In this vital role, you will be the extra support that this family needs with their 2 children who are on the spectrum. Care is needed in the childrens home.
Hours- Afterschool, roughly 3:40pm to 6 or 7pm, M-F
Direct hire. No Agency!!
Responsibilities
- Get children off bus daily, transport to thier home
- Supervise children to ensure safety- elopement risk.
- Ensure that children are following rules set by parents- no electronics
- Help with things like snack time, sensory play, toileting reminders
- Other minor child care tasks as requested by parents
Qualifications-
- Previous experieince working with chilren on the spectrum a plus
- Must be kind, patient and understanding
- Valid drivers license and vehicle
- Must be able to pass a caregiver background check
