About the Role

Community Horizons is assisting a Nekoosa individual with looking for a compassionate, dependable caregiver to support an adult living at home who values independence, dignity, and a calm, respectful environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys meaningful one‑on‑one work and wants to make a real difference in someone’s daily life.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance with daily living tasks such as dressing, grooming, bathing, and mobility support

  • Help with meal prep, light housekeeping, and maintaining a safe, organized home

  • Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support

  • Follow the individual’s preferred routines and communication style

  • Maintain clear, respectful boundaries and uphold person‑centered care values

Qualifications

  • Kind, patient, and reliable with strong communication skills

  • Experience in caregiving, DSP work, or supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required—training is available

  • Able to pass a background check

  • Comfortable with hands‑on support

  • Ok with cats
