A Wisconsin Rapids family is seeking a compassionate, reliable caregiver to support their middle-aged son in their home. This role is ideal for someone who values teamwork, consistency, and building trust over time.

Pay

• $16.32–$17.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule & Flexibility

• Pick up shifts as needed
• Schedule is created one month at a time
• Most shifts are 12 hours (8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
• Some flexibility with shift length and start times
• Additional pick-up shifts may be available
• Opportunity for regular, consistent hours over time

About the Role
Care is provided in a private home setting for an individual who is nonverbal and benefits from attentive, interactive support. The right caregiver will be engaged, patient, and able to build connection through presence, routine, and observation.

Ideal Candidate

• Attentive, dependable, and consistent
• Comfortable being interactive and engaged with a nonverbal individual
• Has at least 1 year of professional experience in a healthcare-related field
• Familiar with (or willing to learn) care related to brain injury and seizure disorders
• Confident, calm, and able to follow established routines
• Reliable transportation

Care Tasks May Include

• Personal care and hygiene support
• Showering and sponge bathing
• Transfers, repositioning, and range-of-motion exercises
• Wheelchair safety and mobility support
• Tube feeding via pump, oxygen support, nebulizer treatments, suctioning
• Use of ceiling lift and safety equipment (training provided)
• Assisting with daily living activities, including some skilled care
• Occasional community outings, such as short walks or trips to local stores

Training is available for the right applicant, including hands-on support with medical and mobility equipment.
