As a self-directed nursing professional, you will be employed directly by the family and compensated through Medicaid funds. Please note that this program does not provide the benefits typically associated with agency or larger employers, such as insurance or paid time off. However, the position offers flexibility, the opportunity to build a close one-on-one relationship with the client, and the chance to engage with a friendly family in their home setting while potentially participating in family gatherings, vacations (to Arizona), and meals.
We are seeking licensed nursing professionals to provide direct care for a member in the Algoma area. This member has complex medical needs and lives with their family in a home that is well set up to meet their needs. Full training will be provided by current staff and family members.
Schedule: Part time weekday shifts – at least 2 weekend days per month required
Pay Rate: Dependent on licensing and experience
Job Duties: This individual has complex care needs which include ventilator assistance, Tracheostomy care, bowel prep., GJ tube feeding, and assistance with all activities of daily living. Below, please read a more detailed list of care needs.
Requirements:
· Active WI nursing licensure (CNA/MA/LPN/RN)
· Pass WI background check
· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
