About the Role:
We’re looking for a caring, dependable individual to provide one-on-one support for a young girl who has autism. This part-time role is ideal for someone with a nurturing personality who enjoys working with individuals with special needs and wants to be part of a supportive, respectful home environment.

Schedule:
Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM (15 hours/week)

Additional hours may be available for occasional "date nights"

Pay:
$18.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent supervision in a safe, calm environment
• Assist with personal hygiene and diapering
• Prepare and offer snacks
• Engage in simple, comforting activities suited to her needs
• Communicate respectfully and calmly at all times

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

• Reliable and consistent
• Warm, calm, and patient in demeanor
• Comfortable assisting with toileting and hygiene
• Flexible and willing to learn
• At least 17 years old
• In possession of a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Experienced with children (personal or professional experience welcomed)

Bonus if you have:

• Experience working with individuals with autism or non-verbal individuals
• Background in caregiving, education, or behavioral support (but not required.)

Community Horizons provides support to individuals and families enrolled in self-directed care programs across Wisconsin, including services through Managed Care Organizations, IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct), and the Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) program.

Self-direction allows participants to make their own choices, selecting who provides their care and how those services are delivered.
