If a perfect workday sounds like watching Bluey, cooking chicken nuggets, and helping a happy, giggly 12-year old smash his goals, than this job is for you. A family in the Appleton area is looking to hire a caregiver and mentor for their child, who has autism. This hands-on role is perfect for college students (especially those studying education, special education, nursing, occupational therapy, behavioral health or psychology), healthcare professionals, or anyone with an active, patient heart who has a passion for children and human connection. If you have experience with special needs and just naturally bring good energy into a room, we want to talk to you.
About Community Horizons
Make a Meaningful Impact with Community Horizons
Support individuals. Empower independence. Build a flexible career you’ll love.
Community Horizons proudly supports individuals across Wisconsin who are enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations, IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct), and the CLTS (Children’s Long-Term Support) Program.
Self-direction allows participants—and families—to have control over who provides their care and how services are delivered, creating a truly personalized experience. While Community Horizons is not the employer of record, we assist by connecting caregivers with participants and guiding them through the hiring process. All hiring decisions are made by the member or their guardian
