Seeking a dedicated, responsible Care Companion to assist a member in her home for a few hours a week.
This position involves working one on one with the member to provide personal cares, respite, safety and an opportunity for social connection and interaction.
This direct hire role is a where a person can make a REAL difference through connection and support to the member.
This is a private home with no agency involvement.
Requirements:
Previous experience working with special needs individuals and seizure disorders preferred but willing to train the RIGHT individual
Strong communication skills and comfort
Have comfort with seizure activity
The ability to engage with the member and be responsive to their needs
Must be dependable and have reliable transportation to get to and from the job
Schedule:
Mondays & Tuesdays 3:00pm-7:00pm * with the option to pick up another day or two in thd future*
*Shift times can be flexible*
Job Responsibilities:
- Monitor member for seizure activity/ changes in condition
- Provide a safe environment for the member to engage in activities and social connection
- Incontinence care and hygiene
- Medication administration as needed
- Assist with feeding meals/snacks
- Companionship and interaction with member
Pay Rate:
$16.80 per hour
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced caregiver, retirees or a college student seeking to find meaningful work
Must be 18 to apply due to the nature of work
A Wisconsin caregiver background check is required before employment can begin
PET FRIENDLY-There are dogs present in the home
