Respite Provider – Make a Meaningful Difference
Pay $16.32
Community Horizons is assisting a gentleman in Sugar Camp in seeking a compassionate and energetic Respite Provider to deliver short-term care and support. This individual has diverse needs, including developmental disabilities such as autism.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about helping others live fulfilling, supported lives. As a Respite Provider, you will step in to provide quality care while giving primary caregivers the opportunity to rest and recharge. Your support will help ensure the individual remains safe, engaged, and well cared for.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive supervision during scheduled respite periods, ensuring safety at all times
- Assist with medication administration in accordance with established care plans while maintaining strict confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on dietary needs, following proper food safety practices
- Offer reminders and support for personal hygiene, including showering as needed
- Engage in meaningful activities such as community outings, recreational activities, and gym visits
Qualifications
- Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and/or autism preferred
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Comfortable around cats and dogs

Position Details
This is an as-needed role, providing coverage when primary caregivers are traveling or taking personal time. Scheduling will vary based on family needs.
