Schedule: 16 hours per week (2 set days) + 5 additional hours per month based on parent work schedule (you’ll always know in advance)

Community Horizons is seeking a kind, calm, and exceptionally dependable caregiver to support a young teen male who is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum. If you are someone with a grounded presence, a steady demeanor, and a genuine passion for helping others thrive, this is a role where you’ll make a meaningful impact every single day.

What We’re Looking For

·       We value caregivers who offer both skill and heart. Ideal candidates will have:

·       Experience supporting individuals with non-verbal autism

·       A calm, confident approach and the ability to provide structured, consistent support

·       Comfort working in a pet-friendly home (the family has a cat)

·       A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Daily Responsibilities

Your support will help create a safe, engaging, and predictable environment. Duties include:

·       One-on-one engagement and supervision

·       Personal care and hygiene assistance

·       Meal preparation

·       Remaining steady, patient, and supportive during moments of escalation

·       Providing compassionate, structured support that helps this young teen feel understood and secure
