Pay Rate: up to $29/hour *depending on licensure
The hours: for this position are from 730 am-11 am on Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Additional hours may be available.
Community Horizons has the privilege of assisting a wonderful family in the Green Bay area to connect with qualified care providers (CNA, MA, LPN, or RN) to fill their open Private Duty nursing position.
This position involves caring for a young man in his own home. The environment is clean and tidy with a few extras that make his care a bit more comfortable for both the care provider and him. This home has a wet bathroom and ceiling-suspended Hoyer. This individual lives with his mother who is an amazing support and will participate in care as needed. In this position, you will have the assistance of an aide for all care and tasks.
Basics of the position:
- Tracheotomy care and deep suctioning
- Knowledge of and experience using a cough assist
- Bowel program with stim
- Suprapubic catheter care
- Taking vitals
- Use of a Nebulizer
- Use of a ceiling-suspended Hoyer
- All personal care tasks (Showering, nail care, hair care, beard care, etc.)
- Range of motion stretches
- Dressing and undressing
- Use of a powered wheelchair
- AFO and body braces
- Caring for individuals with spinal cord injuries
Additional requirements:
- Driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Licensure in good standing.
- Confidence in your abilities and training.
- Can work with little oversight.
- Has a sense of humor and a love of good music!
