Amazing male member in Wausau is seeking to hire an Energetic Care Provider to provide high-quality direct care, companionship and community integration opportunities to enrich and enhance his life.

This important role involves supporting the member in his daily activities, ensuring his safety, and promoting independence within a caring home environment.

The ideal candidates will have previous caregiving experience and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the member.

*Both full time and part time hours are available in this role!*

Duties of this opportunity:

• Assist member with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming
• Transport member to and from his day service program
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary needs and assist member during mealtimes
• Support member with learning new skills and gaining confidence
• Provide community integration opportunities based on the member's interests
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment through regular cleaning and household tasks
• Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being of the member and build a trusting rapport
• Observe member for changes in condition

Preferred Qualities in a candidate:

• Experience working with adults with disabilities highly preferred
• A compassionate, patient, energetic personality
• Strong communication skills with a desire to help others
• Must be dependable and dedicated to the member and his well being
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation
• A background check is required before employment can begin
• Must be 18 years old to apply due to the nature of work
• Experience working with non-verbal individuals is helpful

Hours/Schedule:

Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-8:30am

Friday 3:00pm- Monday 8:30am

Wage: $16.50 per hour for dayshift- plus a mileage reimbursement of .35 per mile, overnight shifts offer a stipend of $50.75

I am open to learning new skills to enhance my quality of life. I am pretty easy going and full of energy to experience life around me! I am non-verbal and at times I may express frustration. I enjoy being included in tasks even if to just observe. With the right person I am very capable of learning and gaining confidence with new skills. I love anything with a motor, and I have been known to tease the people I like.
