I am seeking a long-term Care Specialist who will be in my life for a while to build consistency and rapport.
Check out the responsibilities of my job and see if it aligns with your caregiver skills.
This is a direct hire caregiver role with no agency involvement.
Responsibilities-
- Assist me with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming
- Transport me to and from my day service program as needed
- Administer medications as prescribed
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with my dietary needs and assist me during mealtimes/snacks
- Teach and support me with learning new skills
- Provide community integration opportunities based on my interests and abilities
- Maintain a clean, safe home environment through regular cleaning and household tasks
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote my mental well-being and build a trusting connection
- Observe me for changes in condition
- Redirection of behaviors and the ability to stay calm
Experience-
- Experience working with adults with disabilities, non-verbal individuals as well as behavioral issues a PLUS
- A compassionate, patient, energetic approach to caregiving
- Strong communication skills
- Reliability is a must
- Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation
- A background check is required before employment can begin and must be 18 years old to apply
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday–Thursday, 2:00 pm– 9:45 am
- Friday at 2:00 pm through Monday at 9:45am
- Additional daytime hours may be available-information available upon interview (2:00pm-7:00pm)
- Flexible scheduling options—choose shifts that fit your lifestyle
- Both day and overnight shifts available
Wage- $16.50 per hour for dayshift- plus a mileage reimbursement of .35 per mile, overnight shifts offer a flat rate stipend of $50.75
