Position Overview
Seeking a dependable, compassionate, and upbeat caregiver to assist an adult in their home. The ideal candidate is reliable, respectful, and enjoys helping others maintain their independence.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bathing, including washing hard-to-reach areas and drying off
- Meal preparation as time allows
- Medication reminders/verification
- Laundry
- Organize lower cabinets and frequently used household items for easier access
- Move food and household items to accessible locations
- Assist with cleaning the bottom of the shower and around the base of the toilet
- Provide companionship while encouraging independence
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous caregiving or personal care experience preferred
- Honest, dependable, and punctual
- Friendly, patient, and helpful personality
- Positive and upbeat attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Must limit personal cell phone use while providing care
- Must be comfortable working in a dog-friendly home
