About the Role

A Nekoosa community member is seeking a Mentor to provide steady, encouraging support at a local golf course during scheduled weekly hours. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching through real‑life experiences, building confidence, and helping someone grow their independence in a calm, supportive way.

What You’ll Do

• Offer one‑on‑one mentorship while spending time at a local golf course
• Support skill‑building in communication, social interactions, and daily routines
• Encourage healthy decision‑making and problem‑solving
• Provide gentle guidance and redirection when needed
• Help create a positive, structured, and enjoyable environment
• Maintain consistency, patience, and respect in all interactions

• A natural teacher or coach who enjoys helping others build confidence
• Comfortable supporting an adult with unique learning or developmental needs
• Able to maintain calm, clear communication and model positive behavior

Experience

Experience in mentoring, coaching, caregiving, education, or supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required.

Pay & Details

• Paid through a fiscal employer/agent
• Consistent weekly schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays, 9am–2pm
• Start date flexible based on candidate availability
