Part-Time Caregiver & Housekeeper
Community Horizons is assisting a gentleman in the Nekoosa area in finding a dependable, compassionate caregiver to provide in-home personal care and housekeeping support. This is a great opportunity for someone who listens well, communicates clearly, and wants to help a person remain comfortable and independent in his home.
· Hourly rate: $16.32
· Hours: 4:00–6:00 p.m.
· Preferred days: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
· Help with organizing and general household cleaning
· Pick up mail and complete laundry
· Occasionally assist with cleaning a litter box
· Assist with showering as needed, primarily washing his hair
· Provide care for leg wraps according to the member’s established routine and instructions
· Offer occasional colostomy-related assistance; because of adhesive sensitivity, the member is unable to wear a standard ostomy bag
· Dependable and comfortable providing respectful personal care
· A strong listener who communicates clearly and directly
· Patient, calm, and able to respond constructively when pain causes frustration
· Comfortable offering a respectful reminder that you are present to help when challenging moments arise
· Comfortable working in a home with a friendly cat
· Willing to follow the member’s preferences, care instructions, and established routines
The member is sensitive to vanilla-scented perfume and products, so the selected caregiver must avoid wearing or bringing vanilla fragrances into the home.
If you are dependable, compassionate, and ready to make a meaningful difference through practical support and respectful care, we encourage you to apply.
Make a Meaningful Impact with Community Horizons
Support individuals. Empower independence. Build a flexible career you’ll love.
Community Horizons proudly supports individuals across Wisconsin who are enrolled in self-directed programs through Managed Care Organizations, IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct), and the CLTS (Children’s Long-Term Support) Program.
Self-direction allows participants—and families—to have control over who provides their care and how services are delivered, creating a truly personalized experience. While Community Horizons is not the employer of record, we assist by connecting caregivers with participants and guiding them through the hiring process. All hiring decisions are made by the member or their guardian
If you’re passionate about helping people live as independently as possible in their own homes, we’d love to talk with you. Community Horizons offers the support you need to succeed in your self-directed role
