A kind, friendly, and hardworking family in the New London area is seeking a paraprofessional to help them with Respite for their 15-year-old son, who is on the autism spectrum. This child does have medium to higher support needs and does have some de-escalation tactics. This family is seeking someone who can provide emotional support and take him to fun activities in the community. This is not an Agency. Get hired directly by the client under self-direction.
Family's schedule:
Dad's schedule:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM -4:00 PM
- As-needed weekends
Mom’s schedule:
(This will be discussed in the phone screen.)
Pay Rate:
- $17.97 / Hour
- Mileage pay
Families Care Tasks:
- Chat with parents on what the day looks like
- Take the child to activities in the community
- Transportation to fun activities
- Meal preparation (Breakfast, lunch, and snacks)
- Safety and supervision
- Someone who can be organized and routine-oriented
Families Requirements:
- Someone active and motivated
- Someone who is organized
- Someone who can bring over a routine of activities
- Experience with children with special needs
- Experience with children on the Autism spectrum
- Valid driver's license along with a reliable vehicle
- Able to pass a Wisconsin background check
