A local family in the Wausau area is seeking a Child Care Provider (On call). After-school support for their energetic 8-year-old boy is needed.
You will play a vital part in creating a safe, fun, and enriching after-school experience that promotes growth, learning, and confidence in this wonderful young boy!

Schedule: After school hours - 3:30pm-8:00pm
*This role is an on-call opportunity with no guaranteed hours or set schedule*
Wage: $16.80 per hour
Join in on play while creating fun and memorable experiences for this amazing young boy!
This is a direct hire job with no agency involvement
Tasks:
- Participate and attend community events that align with member interests
- Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to promote independence and self-confidence
- Plan outings to be active together, such as playing at a park, ice skating, playing in the snow, trampolines, soccer, etc.
- Monitor and ensure safety of member at all times
- Ability to remain calm and redirect defiant behaviors and or emotional challenges
- Celebrate wins together as a team
Requirements:
- Experience working with developmental disabilities is a plus!
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and patient in stressful situations
- Energetic and quick on the feet
- Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
