A wonderful, kind-hearted family in the Kaukauna area is seeking a caregiver for their 16-year-old son, who has intellectual disabilities. The caregiver in this position would help this young boy with mentoring, along with taking him to fun community activities.
Location:
- Kaukauna WI,
Schedule:
* Part-time Hours 15-30 hours a week
* Monday-Saturday Flexible schedule
Pay:
· $17.98
Job Duties:
- Clean, organize, and maintain a child’s bedroom.
- Spot clean bathroom (surface cleaning, take out garbage, replace toilet paper, etc.)
- Provide transportation to and from outings.
- Engage in de-escalating tactics as needed.
- Provide 1:1 supervision.
Families Requirements:
- Driver's license
- Reliable vehicle- willing to use personal vehicle to provide transportation (local travel only).
- Experience working with adults or children with complex needs (Mental health, Developmental disabilities, Autism, ADHD, ODD, Etc.)
- Willingness to learn and accept coaching.
- Ability to pass a Wisconsin Caregiving Background Check.
- Proven dependability.
- Committed to providing care for children and adults with special needs.
(Please note that this is a cat-friendly and dog-friendly home. There are also various caged critters in the home. No care is needed, but it is important to note for those with allergies or fears.)
