Hello! We are a family living in the Appleton area, looking for a full-time caregiver to care for our adult son with Autism.
The hours are Monday-Friday, 8-4 or 9-5, depending on your availability.
The wage for this position is $20-21/hour
Our son is enrolled in a self-directed Medicaid program that allows us to choose our own care staff, and the wages are paid through a fiscal agent (payroll department).
We are hoping to find someone who will meaningfully engage with our son and meet him where he is at while also meeting his basic needs. With that said, someone with experience working with adults with special needs will receive priority consideration.
While not often, our son can become aggressive. It is very important to us that everyone is safe. Experience with de-escalation is very important.

Care is being provided to an adult male who has an autism diagnosis. He is non-verbal and can most of the time make his wants and needs known to his caregivers. He lives with his family. His special interests are balls and Dora the Explorer.
