Community Horizons is assisting a local family in finding a Delightful Care Companion to provide after-school support for their 8-year-old boy. You will play a vital part in creating a safe, fun, and enriching after-school experience that promotes growth, learning, and confidence in this wonderful young boy!

Schedule: Flexible, part time, after-school hours
Wage: $16.80/HR.
Join in on play while creating fun and memorable experiences for this amazing young boy!
Tasks:
- Participate and attend community events that align with kiddos' interests
- Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to promote independence and self-confidence
- Plan outings to be active together, such as playing at a park, ice skating, playing in the snow, trampolines, soccer, etc.
- Monitor and ensure safety at all times
- Ability to remain calm and redirect defiant behaviors and or emotional challenges
- Celebrate wins together!
Requirements:
- Experience working with developmental disabilities is a plus!
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and patient in stressful situations
- Energetic and quick on the feet!
- Valid driver's license
- Must be 18 years of age or older
