Position Details:
Hours: Saturday anytime or Sunday afternoon, 4 Hour shift (Flexible)
Ideal Candidate to provide the following tasks:
- Personal care assistance (Toileting, changing as needed).
- Provide companionship and supervision.
- Maintain self-regulation and redirection as needed if behaviors are present.
-Experience with seizures and administering medication (if needed), training will be provided.
-Patience and understanding with communication done with AAC Device.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle are mandatory.
- Candidates must be able to pass a Wisconsin caregiver background check.
- A genuine enjoyment of working in the special needs community.
- Previous professional experience in caregiving is required, with a preference for those with backgrounds in ABA therapies, paraprofessional roles, educational support, behavioral techs, childcare, and similar fields.
Community Horizons provides support to individuals and families enrolled in self-directed care programs across Wisconsin, including services through Managed Care Organizations, IRIS (Include, Respect, I Self-Direct), and the Children’s Long-Term Support (CLTS) program.
Self-direction allows participants to make their own choices—selecting who provides their care and how those services are delivered.
While Community Horizons offers guidance and mentorship, we are not the employer of record. Participants and families make all hiring decisions, with a third-party fiscal agent handling payroll and employment paperwork.
