Care Specialist-Private Home

Community Horizons is working with a wonderful female member in Wausau to find a positive, friendly and reliable Care Specialist to assist her in her home

This role will assist the member with personal cares for both morning and bedtime routines as well as completing household tasks. The goal is for the member to maintain her independent lifestyle and help her to thrive in her life.

Schedule:

7:00am-9:30am & 8:00pm-10:00pm (2-3 days per week and every other weekend)

*Specific days to be discussed at the time of interview*

*This position may also include back up hours to cover staff absences and vacations as needed*

Tasks of this role:

  • Dressing, grooming, bed bath assistance
  • Catheter care/hygiene
  • Transfers with a slide board
  • Light house cleaning including sweeping and mopping, garbage and dishes
  • Laundry/linen changes
  • Remove garbage from the home
  • Wound care program

Pay Rate:

$16.32 per hour

Preferred Qualities:

Friendly and reliable with a positive team attitude

Experience highly preferred but willing to train the RIGHT person

Pet Friendly-cats are present within the home

A background check is required, and you must be at least 18 years old to apply
