Community Horizons is assisting a local family in finding a Child Focused Care Provider (On call) to assist in providing after-school support for their 8-year-old boy. You will play a vital part in creating a safe, fun, and enriching after-school experience that promotes growth, learning, and confidence in this wonderful young boy!

*This role is an on-call opportunity with no guaranteed hours or set scheule*

Wage: $16.80/HR.

Join in on play while creating fun and memorable experiences for this amazing young boy!

Tasks:

• Participate and attend community events that align with member interests
• Provide positive reinforcement and encouragement to promote independence and self-confidence
• Plan outings to be active together, such as playing at a park, ice skating, playing in the snow, trampolines, soccer, etc.
• Monitor and ensure safety of member at all times
• Ability to remain calm and redirect defiant behaviors and or emotional challenges
• Celebrate wins together

Requirements:

• Experience working with developmental disabilities is a plus!
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to stay calm and patient in stressful situations
• Energetic and quick on the feet
• Valid driver's license
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
