Do you enjoy connecting with people in your community and making a difference in their daily lives? Community Horizons is partnering with a wonderful Shawano community member to find a compassionate and dependable Personal Care Worker (PCW) to provide part-time support in their home.
This is a self-directed caregiving position, meaning the individual you’ll assist is directly involved in choosing and working with their caregivers. It’s a unique opportunity to build a genuine connection while helping someone maintain independence and comfort at home.
Position Highlights
- Pay Rate: $16.32/hour
- Schedule: Short, flexible shifts throughout the week
- Mon/Tue/Wed/Fri: 2:00 PM–3:00 PM and/or 8:15 PM–9:15 PM
- Thurs: 1:30 PM–4:30 PM and/or 8:15 PM–9:15 PM
- Sat/Sun: 9:00 AM–10:00 AM; 2:00 PM–3:00 PM and/or 8:15 PM–9:15 PM
Scheduling will be coordinated with the member (employer) to ensure full coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with transfers using an Easy Trak system
- Support with toileting and mobility
- Provide daily hygiene and body positioning assistance
- Help with range of motion (ROM) exercises
Ideal Candidate Qualities
- Reliable, dependable, and attentive
- Friendly and personable with strong communication skills
- Able to follow directions and maintain a good work ethic
- Physically capable of performing care duties
- Holds a valid driver’s license and has reliable transportation
- Comfortable in a pet-friendly home environment
