This role is designed for someone who prefers limited, scheduled hours while still making a meaningful difference. Support is provided during pre-planned respite periods in a quiet, private home.
Pay
$16.32 per hour
Schedule
Evening shifts are usually needed about once per month
Overnight care is requested very rarely, approximately twice per year
All shifts are arranged in advance, making this position easy to balance with work or school
Role Overview
You will provide attentive, one-on-one assistance focused on comfort, routine, and personal care. The environment is calm and structured, and training is provided.
Typical Activities
• Spending time in relaxed activities such as reading, music, or simple sensory engagement
• Assisting with meals, drinks, and snacks
• Supporting personal care as needed
• Following familiar routines to maintain comfort and consistency
• Offering steady companionship and reassurance
Position Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Reliable and patient
• Able to pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
• Willing to learn care routines
• Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required
