Schedule:
Saturday or Sunday prefer Sunday 930am to 530pm
Occasional additional shifts based on family needs
Possible evenings or overnights when the family travels
About the Role
A family in the Biron area is seeking a compassionate caregiver for their middle-aged daughter, who has developmental disabilities and is nonverbal. The focus is on community engagement, reducing social anxiety, and supporting daily living needs.
Community Horizons is assisting with the search, but the family makes all hiring decisions.
Responsibilities
Community Integration
Outings for exercise, social comfort, and independence
Visits to community centers, libraries, stores, and parks
Walking, shopping, sightseeing
Personal Care
Showering, dressing, feminine hygiene
Meal preparation
Coordinating meaningful daily activities
Ideal Candidate Qualities
Valid driver's license + reliable transportation
Calm, patient, positive, and adaptable
Compassionate and understanding
Experience with:
Developmental disabilities
Nonverbal individuals
Anxiety support
Able to pass a caregiver background check
