Job Summary
Dynamic member in Wausau is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Care Technicians to provide high-quality care, companionship and community integration opportunities. This vital role involves supporting member in his daily activities, ensuring his safety, and promoting independence within a caring, home environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care settings, and possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for the member.
The member enjoys going to Menards, music (he has a music room in his home), time doing activities on his iPad, and fishing/outdoors.
He is easy going and full of energy to experience life around him!
Both full time and part time hours are available!
Duties of this job:
- Assist member with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming
- Transport member to and from his day service program
- Administer medications
- Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary needs and assist member during mealtimes
- Support member with learning new skills
- Provide community outings based on the member's interests
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment through regular cleaning and household tasks
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being of the member
Requirements:
- Experience working with adults with disabilities highly preferred
- A compassionate, patient, energetic personality
- Strong communication skills with a desire to help others
- Must be dependable and dedicated
- Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation
- A background check is required before employment can begin
- Must be 18 years old to apply
Schedule:
Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-8:00pm
Friday 3:00pm- Monday 8:30am

Wage: $16.32 per hour for dayshift- plus a mileage reimbursement of .35 per mile, overnight shifts offer a stipend
