Here at Community Horizons, we’re seeking a dependable and compassionate person to provide hands-on support for an individual who has a spinal cord injury that affects the fourth cervical vertebra (C4). This member of ours is based in the Sturgeon Bay area, looking for his forever in-home care staff that can help with supportive home care, along with personal care.
~ Please note this is a dog-friendly home
Shifts:
35-40 hours a week
Typical hours go from
- 8:00 AM – 10:15 AM, 1:00 PM -5:00 PM, 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and 9:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Pay:
- $17.85
Location:
- Sturgeon Bay, WI
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assist with getting in and out of bed
- Transfers using a Hoyer
- Meal Preparation
- Assist with getting dressed
- Assist with personal care (Showering, bathing, toileting)
- Medication administration
- Transportation to appointments, along with running errands when needed.
- Light housekeeping
- Helping his dog with being let out and going for walks
Requirements:
- Able to pass a Wisconsin background check
- Valid driver's licenses along with a reliable vehicle
- Motivation to help others in their own home
- Kind and friendly
- Able to take directions
