Dependable Respite Provider
A female member in Colby, WI is seeking a Dependable Respite Provider to come into her home and provide direct care and companionship Monday-Thursday for a 3 -4-hour shift
Your assistance will provide her family with a respite and an opportunity for member to have direct care, social connection and interaction
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with special needs individuals and seizure disorders preferred but willing to train the RIGHT individual
- Strong communication skills and comfort with seizures
- The ability to engage with the member and be responsive to her needs
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation to get to and from the job
Schedule: Monday & Wednesday mornings
*Specific times to be discussed at the time of interview*
Tasks:
- Monitor member for seizure activity/ changes in condition
- Provide a safe environment for the member to engage in activities and social connection
- Incontinence care and hygiene
- Medication administration as needed
- Assist with feeding meals/snacks
- Companionship and interaction with member
Wage: $16.80 per hour
This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced caregiver or someone new to the field.
